Dr. Jeff Meldrum
Dr. Meldrum’s training and expertise are in the anatomical sciences, with an emphasis in physical anthropology. He joined the Idaho State University faculty in 1993, where he teaches human regional and sectional anatomy in the health professions programs, as well as evolution and primate studies. His formal study of primates began with doctoral research on terrestrial adaptations in African primates, and has since taken him from the dusty skeletal cabinets of far-flung museums, to the remote badlands of Colombia and Argentina in search of fossil New World primates.
He has published extensively on the evolutionary history of the South American primates and has described several new extinct species. He has documented varied primate locomotorspecializations in laboratory and semi-natural settings.
More recently his attention has returned to the emergence of modern human bipedalism, evaluating fossil pedal remains and the footprints left in ancient strata. His co-edited volume, From Biped to Strider: the Emergence of Modern Human Walking, Running, and Resource Transport, proposes a more recent innovation of modern striding gait than previously assumed. His interests in the footprints attributed to an unrecognized North American ape, commonly known as sasquatch, came into focus when he literally crossed paths with an enigmatic set of tracks in the mountains of southeastern Washington State. He has erected the ichnotaxondiagnosing the footprints attributed to sasquatch as Anthropoidipes ameriborealis MELDRUM 2007. He has conducted collaborative laboratory research and field work throughout the Pacific Northwest and Intermountain West, as well as in Canada, China and Russia, and has spoken about his findings in numerous interviews, including NPR’s Science Friday and Radio West, television appearances, including TheToday Show, National Geographic, Discovery, History, SyFy, AnimalPlanet, etc., and many public and professional presentations. He was a featured scientist in Scientific Americanand the national AAAS webpage. His book, Sasquatch: Legend Meets Science, has been described as the best discussion of the legendary primate available. He edits online refereed journal The Relict Hominoid Inquiry (www.isu.edu/rhi).
James "Bobo" Fay
James Fay is commonly, if not almost exclusively, known to the world as “Bobo.” The origins of that name are shrouded in mystery, as is much of Bobo’s life, but it seems to have been born from a variation of the name, “Jimbo,” derived from the nickname “Jim.” Whatever the genesis, Bobo is his functional moniker today.
Bobo was born and raised in Manhattan Beach, CA, and has been interested in the bigfoot mystery for as long as he can remember. As a teen, he became interested in big-wave surfing, and this would take him to the best surf spots up and down the entire West Coast. Soon, he would take surf trips to bigfoot habitat in order to get a chance to maybe see a bigfoot from the beach.
At some point, Bobo became a roadie for the band Sublime, and this gave him an opportunity to travel the country while touring and gather bigfoot reports from all corners of the country. This is a key aspect to Bobo’s knowledge: he has spoken to literally thousands of people from all walks of life about bigfoots. Through hearing this many stories, patterns start developing. It is through the examination of these patterns that Bobo has found behavioral aspects of bigfoots that give him insight into these creatures’ way of life.
When Bobo went to college, the school was chosen almost entirely on the basis of whether or not sasquatches lived nearby. He chose Humboldt State University in Arcata, CA, and when not in class, he could be found in the woods trying to see a bigfoot. In fact, many of Bobo’s choices over his entire life were centered around trying to see a bigfoot. He took logging jobs on Indian crews to learn from the Native Americans, and to try to see a bigfoot. He took road building jobs in the wilds of Northern California to try to see a bigfoot. He took commercial fishing jobs on the North Coast to try to see a bigfoot. He would spend his off days in the woods to try to see a bigfoot. He is as dedicated as they come.
His efforts have paid off. Bobo saw his first bigfoot in 2001 while on an investigation with veteran bigfoot researcher John Freitas. This same bigfoot had been seen by several locals over the years in the same areas, and has been referred to as “the Big Guy” by local Native Americans. Bobo has glimpsed bigfoots on a few other occasions, but it was this first visual sighting that moved him the most.
Today, Bobo makes a living as a commercial fisherman out of Eureka, CA. He continues to take odd jobs in unrelated fields, most of which are centered around trying to see a bigfoot. His close relationship with the community in which he lives helps him keep his “ear to the ground,” and he collects dozens of local bigfoot sighting reports each year.
Cliff Barackman has appeared in various media outlets over the years in regards to his bigfoot experience. He has written extensively on the subject with his work being featured not only on his own blog, but on other websites as well. He has also been featured in student reports, newspaper articles, video documentaries, and more.
In 2007, Cliff was contacted to be on the History Channel’s “Monsterquest.” The episode, entitled “Legend of the Hairy Beast,” featured Cliff and fellow bigfoot researcher, James “Bobo” Fay investigating bigfoot sighting reports on the Klamath River in Northern California. Being the first whites to ever be invited to do bigfoot research on the Yurok Indian Reservation, Cliff and Bobo interviewed Native American elders about their experiences with sasquatches.
Being well-respected in the bigfoot community and beyond, Cliff is often called upon for comments about bigfoot evidence and research. He was the featured expert in news items broadcast to the Portland, OR and Seattle, WA media markets in regards to the infamous Georgia Bigfoot Hoax of 2008 where he clearly stated that it was a falsification. He has appeared on many internet radio shows, and was also a featured guest on “Coast to Coast with George Noory.”
Cliff is currently featured on Animal Planet’s hit series, Finding Bigfoot. Once again teaming up with colleagues James “Bobo” Fay, Matt Moneymaker, and Ranae Holland, .
Research Biologist Ranae Holland was born and raised in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. As a young girl, her father introduced her to the 1970’s Bigfoot craze. They forged a special connection while watching movies and television shows, and reading newspaper clippings, about Bigfoot. Since his death in 2003, Ranae has kept her father close by seeking out Bigfoot stories near her fieldwork.
Ranae is not a member of the BFRO and she does not believe Sasquatch are real, but she is fascinated by the phenomena. She wants to combine her scientific knowledge, fieldwork skills, and love of the wilderness to investigate alleged sightings. If there is an answer to whether Bigfoot exists or not, Ranae will try to find it.

Cindy Kaza is an evidential medium. Evidential mediumship is a style of mediumship practiced around the world that puts heavy weight on the medium’s ability to bring through extremely specific evidence to the sitter. This evidence can include, but is certainly not limited to, names, personality traits, physical ailments, favorite past times, and phrases often used by loved ones in spirit. The purpose of this style of mediumship is to diminish skepticism among sitters and to prove that the medium is truly connecting with the client’s loved ones in spirit.
Cindy has been extremely intuitive since very early childhood. At the age of 10 she had her first memorable experience with a spirit. Days after losing a childhood friend in a fatal car accident, Cindy woke up in the middle of the night to see her friend standing next to her bed. At the time, she dismissed this experience and convinced herself it was just a dream. It wasn’t until her early 20’s that she realized she was having psychic and mediumistic experiences all along. During this “awakening” she began searching for answers and reasons for her experiences and became aware of her multi-faceted abilities as a psychic medium. She began training not only in the United States but also at the Arthur Findlay School of Intuitive Sciences in Stansted, England. She believes in compassionately sharing her gift with others while also opening up others to the gifts they too possess and that everyone is inherently intuitive and able to feel Spirit!
